What To Consider When Buying Hearing Aids
Get a hearing test to confirm you need hearing aids
A hearing test is the first step you should take to determine if you need a hearing aid. If you’re not ready for a hearing aid, a personal sound amplification headset may provide the support you need for moderate hearing loss. Find a club near you and check the “Services” section to see if the club has a Hearing Aid Center.
You will come to rely on your new hearing aid in your everyday life, so you need to ensure that your hearing aids have a long and reliable battery life. What type of fit is comfortable for you
You will wear your hearing aid on an everyday basis, and so you want to make sure your fit is comfortable. This is especially true for in-ear and receiver-in-canal hearing aids. You may want to ensure you get a trial period for your new hearing aids with a follow-up visit if you are being fitted for the first time.
Health insurance coverage
Check with your Sam’s Club hearing professional for insurance information. Depending on the results of your hearing test, your professional may refer you to a doctor for further testing that your insurance plan, Medicare or Medicaid may cover.

Sams Club Hearing Aid Reviews
So far, weve talked about how to buy hearing aids at Sams Club and the various Sams Club hearing aid products. But what do real users have to say in Sams Club hearing aid reviews?
The product review website ConsumerAffairs.com contains reviews of Sams Club Liberty Hearing Aids. These devices currently have 60 user reviews and an average rating of 3.9 out of 5 stars. For example, reviewer Anthony in Pennsylvania gives his Sam’s Club hearing aids a five-star review. He praises the companys affordability and excellent customer support:
After a few years of nudging by my wife, I finally stopped in at Sam’s in Tarentum, PA to get a hearing test. I left with the top-of-the-line hearing aids and have worn them ever since. Paul, the specialist there, sets up regular visits for cleaning and adjustments to make sure I’m 100% satisfied. Service has been great. Many of my buddies who also have hearing aids scoff at where I bought them. But I ended up with better hearing aids at a lower price than they paid with better customer service.
Unfortunately, not all users have had such a positive experience. Customer William in Florida left a one-star Sams Club hearing aid review on ConsumerAffairs, writing:
Many reviewers compliment the excellent support theyve received from Sams Club hearing aid specialists, as well as the lower price tag. Others, however, complain about problems with the products fit and quality.

Why Not Send Your Patients To Costco Or Sams Club To Get Hearing Aids
February 3, 2015 By Site Administrator
After all, thats where they can buy beer, shrimp and tires. You probably already know the answer, but your patients may not. Heres an easy way to explain it to them, using that same beer, shrimp and tire analogy.
Purchasing a hearing aid is actually a lot like purchasing beer, shrimp or tires: its not simply pulling any old brand off a shelf. People have a favorite beer, a preference for peeled shrimp and a car that only certain tires will fit. They cant buy any of those things without very specific information, for these products to satisfy a specific need .
Similarly, hearing aids must be compatible with someones specific hearing loss. This requires precise assessment by a hearing professional. Hearing loss may or may not be accurately measured by a hearing aid dispenser.
Another thing patients need to understand: hearing aids arent a quick fit or fix. Hearing loss occurs so slowly that most people arent even aware its occurring. Once it becomes significant enough for people to pursue amplification, it takes time to acclimate to all the sounds that their ears have been missing. After practicing for 20 years, I can tell you that most people expect to put hearing aids on for the first time and hear what they want to hear perfectly all the time. This is not practical nor is it possible in most cases.
