The Paradise builds upon the Marvel Bluetooth features with increased and in-depth Bluetooth connectivity which offers an active connection to two Bluetooth devices.

Whereas with the Marvel, you needed to disconnect from one device to connect to another, with the Paradise, you can easily switch between two connected mobile phones or your mobile phone and your tablet without any fuss. The Paradise actually allows you to pair to 8 Bluetooth®-enabled devices. That sounds like a lot, but when you think about it, many of us use at least three different Bluetooth enabled devices such as a phone, tablet and laptop. As technology changes, I think we can expect that to increase.

Do Bluetooth Hearing Aids Work With All Bluetooth Devices

The simple answer is no, the only hearing aid models that can boast close to 100% universal wireless Bluetooth connectivity are Marvel and Paradise hearing aids from Phonak and the Discover range from Unitron. Many other brands promote a wider Bluetooth compatibility, but they require an intermediate streamer to receive and retransmit Bluetooth audio to their hearing aids from Bluetooth devices such as Android phones, laptops, TVs etc.

When Can We Expect Android Hearing Aid Streaming

We have it already with the introduction of the Phonak Marvel, the Unitron Discover and the Costco KS9 which will allow calls and audio to be streamed in stereo from any Bluetooth enabled phone including Android devices. While they work with Android, they are not Made For Android per se. The LiNX Quattro was the first ever Made For Android hearing aid. Starkey quickly followed by making some of their Livio devices Made For Android as well. The streaming experience is excellent and I have found it to be very solid and reliable. While initially, streaming was only available with the Pixel 3 phone range and the Samsung Galaxy S10 range, it expanded to other phones through 2020. Unfortunately, no other hearing aid brands have moved forward with Made For Android, because the new Bluetooth standard will make both Made For Android and Made For iPhone superflous. It will be able to do everything that they can do and probably so much more.
